Effective 22 May 2024, the following changes will be added to the BlockMatch Europe RFQ System:

(i)    Where a User has elected to disseminate size on an IOI:

  • The Match Alert will include the total matched quantity along with the respective ContraOrderID(s) and matched Contra quantities;   
  • The IOI Ack will include total matched quantity if the IOI triggers a match alert upon submission;
  • If there is no contra for the IOI upon submission, the matched quantity on the IOI Ack will be 0.

(ii)   For Time in Force = ATC, Users may limit the interaction of their orders in response to a match alert to contras that are in response to the same pairing, otherwise they will continue to be matched with all eligible ATC contras. 

The BlockMatch Europe FIX and Connectivity document has been updated to reflect these changes.

In accordance with our terms of usage, a new Rulebook will be effective from 22nd May 2024 and any orders traded on BlockMatch Europe MTF, on or after this date, will be subject to the new Rulebook. A new Participant Manual which describes the functionality and technical configurations of BlockMatch (previously included in the Rulebook), will be effective from the same date.

In addition, the following functionality will be available from the same date:

  1. Support for execution at mid-price on the RFQ System (MIC: ERFQ) when mid is off tick:
  • Where a mid-pegged RFQ is matched with a mid-pegged Quote, the matched price will be the midpoint on the Market of Reference.
  • Quotes with a reference price of Midpoint, which are below LIS, will be aggressively rounded by the system to the nearest tick when submitted in response to an RFQ which has been submitted with a reference price of Midpoint.
  • Quotes with a reference price of Midpoint, which are below LIS, will be passively rounded by the system to the nearest tick when submitted in response to an RFQ which has not been submitted with a reference price of Midpoint.
  • The matching priority remains as Price, Size and Time (of Quote).

      2. Support for negotiated transaction trade types on the NT System (MIC: ENTW), where any of the following circumstances applies:

  • The transaction is executed by reference to a price that is calculated over multiple time instances according to a given benchmark, including transactions executed by reference to a volume-weighted average price or a time-weighted average price;
  • The transaction is the result of a contract arising exclusively for clearing or settlement purposes;
  • The transaction is large in scale.

Please note that the Fee Schedule has been updated accordingly for NT System transactions and to clarify the definition of Self-match transactions.

Dear Participant,

In accordance with our terms of usage, a new Rulebook will be effective from 3 July 2023 and any orders traded on BlockMatch Europe MTF, on or after this date, will be subject to the new Rulebook.

The key changes to the BlockMatch Europe Rulebook are set out as follows:

  • Members may elect to allow an Order, Quote or RFQ with a time in force (TIF) instruction of Immediate or Cancel (“IOC") to interact with algorithmic IOIs. When this option is elected, it will mean that :
    • Where a Member has elected that an IOC can interact with algorithmic IOIs and, where there is an eligible contra IOI, the IOC will remain in the system with a TIF of 0.5 seconds; and,
    • Where there is no eligible contra IOI, the IOC will be cancelled immediately by the system.

Please note that Users may use FIX Tag 7098 (MatchInst) to elect whether an IOC can interact with IOIs and that the default interaction of RFQs and Quotes with IOIs is not to interact unless specified.

In addition to the above, the following changes to the Rulebook will be effective from the same date:

  • Close price added as an available reference price for RFQs and Quotes;
  • At the Close Time in Force instruction added for RFQs and Quotes; and
  • Further details of the interaction of match alerts for RFQ IOIs added.

From 11th November the Dark Book (MIC: EBLX) on BlockMatch Europe will be live and available for trading from 09:00 CET.

 

The Negotiated Trade System (MIC:ENTW) is not currently available for trading.

As of 7th November 2022, BlockMatch Europe will be adding FIX tag 1903 “RegulatoryTradeID” to the FIX Execution Report message. As of the same date, for the purpose of transaction reporting, the Trading Venue Identification Code (TVTIC) for the RFQ System (MIC:ERFQ) will be populated in FIX tag 1903 “RegulatoryTradeID”, from previously having been populated in FIX tag 17 “ExecID”.
